Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, the peninsula
Between the bay of Villefranche and the bay of Beaulieu, Cap Ferrat is a peninsula of pines and gardens hiding some of the most famous villas in the world, a small fishing harbour, three beaches and a path that goes all the way round at the water's edge. The Ephrussi de Rothschild villa, on the ridge, is its monument; the village of Saint-Jean, in the hollow of the harbour, is its heart. Twenty minutes from Nice, it is the most elegant walk on the coast.
