Cannes, the Croisette, the Suquet and the islands
Cannes is known worldwide for ten days in May, but it is a town to visit all year round: a bay facing due south, closed by the Lérins islands and the red Esterel massif, a seafront of palaces and sandy beaches, and behind it a Provençal town with its market, its old quarter on the hill and its shopping streets. Everything is flat and on foot, from the Palais des Festivals to the Suquet.
